Behind The Book – The Other Girlfriend Book Launch

It’s been just over a week since publication day for my second psychological thriller, The Other Girlfriend. And what a week it has been!

I started publication day off with a visit to Venture on Bargates in Christchurch, to drop off copies of The Other Girlfriend. Venture is a treasure trove of handmade items and books from local creatives. It’s run by the CHI to offer local school students a chance to learn the skills behind running a high street retail outlet. I’m so thrilled to have my books stocked here and know that I’m supporting such a valuable part of local business and education.

It was then time for a celebratory lunch at No.1 Brasserie & Bar. If you’ve not been, it’s definitely worth a visit. The team are always so friendly and welcoming, and the food is always delicious!

In the evening I had a fantastic launch party and book signing event thanks to the wonderful team at Westbourne Bookshop. There were tasty snacks, plenty of drinks and of course, lots of books!

I was absolutely stunned by the incredible turn out for the evening. The queue to get a book signed was huge! We sold out of both The Perfect Daughter and The Other Girlfriend, but Westbourne Bookshop has more on order, so do let them know if you would like a signed copy and I am very happy to call in and sign one for you.

Thanks to everyone’s phenomenal support, The Other Girlfriend topped the charts for Westbourne Bookshops top ten best sellers for July. And The Perfect Daughter was also sitting rather nicely at number 5. What amazing company for my little books to be keeping, next to Lucy Clarke’s incredible, ‘One Of The Girls’ and Delia Owens ‘Where The Cawdads Sing’!
