Last week was the Boldwood Books summer party. In the rain…
But whist the weather was disappointing, the party was definitely as bright and cheerful as ever.
It’s always such a thrill to be able to catch up with the Boldwood team, including my incredible and lovely editor, Emily Ruston. We even managed to cram in a brainstorming session together the morning after the party, to make some final decisions on my latest book and plan its publication date.
As you may know real life has somewhat intervened over the last year and I’ve taken some time out to care for family and look after my own heath too. But it’s full steam ahead now and I’m absolutely loving delving back into my writing.
And attending an event like this, where I get to network with other writers, editors, and agents, is an excellent way to spark further inspiration. An entire evening chatting about books is pure bliss for an author!
This party was extra special as this year marks the 5th birthday of Boldwood Books. The team have accomplished incredible achievements in those five years: over 700 titles published, 150 authors signed and 25 million books sold across the world. I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of their incredible journey.
